Cardiac Broncos continue 4th qtr magic
Posted by: akkbar on 2010-07-02

TAMPA BAY, FL (EDPN) -- Two weeks in a row, two fourth quarter comebacks in a row. As any stressed out fan in Denver can tell you, the Broncos are making a habit of late game heroics and high drama. After going behind 13-19 in the fourth quarter, the Broncos needed another game winning drive from rookie quarterback Colt McCoy. After being knocked out of the game earlier after a touchdown throw to veteran WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh that found him on his back with a shoulder injury, McCoy was back, ready and willing to take his team down field for what turned out to be the game winning drive. The drive was capped off with a TD from RB Ray Rice, giving the Broncos their second fourth quarter comeback in two weeks. Tampa Bay seemed positioned to ruin Denver's winning streak with a 50 yard field goal with :27 left in the fourth, but missed wide left with the swirling 15 mph wind. Rice commented on the importance of this win, "We are now at 3-3, .500 baby. We are giving notice to the Raiders, Chargers and the entire AFC. We are here and your going to have to deal with the Broncos. Its about damn time!"
